NIKE FREESTYLN IN L.A
July 1st, 2008This weekend I took a trip out to L.A and it was the greatest time of my life, that’s right it was for the launch of the new Nike SB BMX pack. This was really special to me because it hit home BMX is my life and has always been a big part of who I am as a person. Well the people over at Nike got together with Mark Lewmen, Andy Jenkins, and Spike Jonez these 3 guys use to work for a magazine back in the day called FREESTYLN. This was the coolest thing to hit the planet me and my friends would travel far and wide just to get the next issue every month, by the way I still have all my issues from back in the 80’s thank you very much…
Beside the fact that Nike SB got the guys from FREESTYLN to make a tribute issue they contacted all of the old school Pro BMXer’s had threw an amazing party in there honor and I was glad to be invited to such an event. To me it was the greatest thing ever I mean I got to hang out with guys I looked up to as a kid and drink beer and talk about the old days of BMX and an to be able to tell your hero how cool it was to read about them in the many issues of FREESTYLN it was mind blowing.
Another dope thing Nike SB did was they got Bob Haro to design the
