I was in SF a week ago. I went to FTC for a visit, and this dope fiend stopped in the door and challenged everyone in the shop to a race. He felt he would win because he’s the only dope fiend in the city with a wheelchair wheel on the front of his bike.

Step 1: got cut off: I had some bad luck with a cabbie. He took a left right in front of me without looking. Front wheel damaged beyond repair.
Step 2: Work out a deal: He paid me and agreed to give me a ride back to Bushwick. He even put it on Hot 97 for me without asking. Sounds good to me. Look at how happy I look. Also…look at how many cups of coffee this guy drank that day.

Step 3: Rebuild: I have only one wheelset, so I had to rebuild the next day. “You build the front, I’ll build the back.”
